How do I get started?
When you first open the App, choose an iCloud Drive or local folder as your workspace. You can use the built-in MarkNote AI service, or configure your own model API Key in Settings → AI Model.
Where does the AI assistant send my data?
The App sends conversation text, speech transcripts, and workspace excerpts you approve to the AI service selected in Settings. If you use the MarkNote backend AI service, requests pass through our server and are forwarded to a third-party model provider. Before the first transfer, the App identifies the data and recipient and asks for your consent. See our Privacy Policy.
Why is voice input unavailable?
In iOS Settings → Privacy & Security, allow MarkNote to access the Microphone and Speech Recognition. A configured cloud speech provider also requires valid credentials in the App.
How do workspace files sync between devices?
If your workspace is in iCloud Drive, Apple syncs it across devices signed in to the same Apple Account with iCloud Drive enabled.
How do I delete conversation history?
Open Settings → Conversation History → Clear Conversation History to remove locally saved voice and chat history.
